About Us

White Screens Tester (whitescreenstester.com) is a free website for testing phone, laptop, monitor and TV screens in the browser. You don’t need to install an app or create an account.

Why We Built This Site

Many people only find a dead pixel, backlight bleed or a faint line on their screen after the return window has closed. Professional display testing software is often paid, made for experts or only available for desktop computers. We wanted a simple tool anyone can open on any device in a few seconds, plus clear guides that explain what the results mean.

How We Create Our Content

  • We test our tools on real phones, laptops and monitors before publishing them.
  • Guides are based on hands-on troubleshooting and on documentation from device and display manufacturers.
  • We explain when a problem can be fixed at home and when you should contact the manufacturer or a repair shop. We never recommend steps that could void a warranty without saying so.
  • We review and update articles when we find errors or when better information is available. If you spot a mistake, please let us know.

Who We Are

White Screens Tester is an independent project founded and run by John Albert, who builds simple web tools that solve everyday tech problems. The site is supported by advertising, which keeps every tool free to use.
